CSRB aims to:
1.Contribute to the development of philosophical research in specific fields.
2.Contribute to the development of philosophical knowledge under particular themes.
3. Assist public decisions making and to offer consultancy concerning public institutional change.

1. Implementation of research programs based on public, private and international funding.
2. Doctoral and continuous education in the moral, political and theoretical philosophy.
3. Publishing activity and diffusing new ideas.

Targets, Activities and Degree of Accomplishment
Our targets and activities and their degree of accomplishment:
- Scientific targets
a) To investigate the theoretical and cognitive assumption involved in the discussions concerning public reason: the theoretical question of reason and irrationality – in progress 75%;
b) The examine critically the conceptions regarding public reason and the development of a concept of public reason in accordance with the requests that practical philosophy has to face from the contemporary society and the contemporary man – in progress 75%;
c) To connect the results with the problematics of the education in a multicultural society in view of rendering these results operational – in progress 50%; - Institutional targets
a) To publish in English of a journal of political philosophy with an international impact – achieved100%;
b) To accomplish a scientific research center for the study of rationality and beliefs –achieved100%;
c) To form a national and international scientific community involved in the debate concerning public reason – in progress.
